UPHSD CME will refer candidates for this internship based on BSNAME students’ academic performances, and willingness to be employed at a Japanese shipyard after completion of the program.
In support of this program, the travel expenses, accommodation, food, daily allowances, and Japanese language learning fees of the interns will be covered by CAJS and its member shipyards.
Admiral Wilfredo D Tamayo PCG(Ret), Senior Executive Vice President for Maritime Affairs (SEVPMA), and at the same time, the Executive Director for International Student Affairs (ED, ISA), had advised the 3 UPHSD CME Deans- Capt Lexington S Calumpang, Dean, UPHSD CME, C/M Danilo M Lumbres, Dean for Discipline, Student Affairs, and Special Concerns, and Engr Verna Azucena, Dean of BSNAME, to brief and guide the CAJS officials for their better appreciation of the University’s up-to-date facilities including classrooms, simulators, and other laboratories/ equipment, and its line-up of well qualified faculty. A screening committee within the College of Maritime Education will be formed to select internship candidates for this program.
